Job Title: SLD/ASD Teaching Assistant
I am currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated teaching assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis with SLD and ASD, in a College at a lovely SEND school in OL2.
The successful candidate will work closely with the students, their parents, and the classroom teacher to ensure that the child's needs are met and that they are able to make progress in their learning.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and have a strong understanding of the unique challenges and needs of students with SLD and autism. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Providing one-on-one support to the students with SLD and autism in the College.
Requirements:
Experience working with students with SEND, particularly those with ASL or autism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Patience and compassion
A relevant qualification in education or a related field is preferred, but not required
