Axcis Education are working in partnership with an Education Provision based in Taunton, the school is looking for an enthusiastic and resilient learning and behaviour mentor to join the team on a long-term basis. The school caters for a diverse group of learners aged 7 to 16, with autism, social emotional mental health needs and other associated conditions, who have been removed from mainstream education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people with complex needs, we are looking for someone who is able to quickly establish positive working relationships, engage and inspire! Responsibilities: Work with students in a small group or 1:1 basis, addressing barriers to learning To plan and deliver targeted interventions to support students to learn new skills and develop self-esteem To support students who are in crisis, using a variety of de-escalation techniques To foster positive working relationships with students, parents, and the wider staff team Actively contribute in student review meetings, to ensure that support packages are meeting learner needs.
