Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - EPILEPSY
Job Advertisement: SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Erith Hours: Full-time, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Start Date: January 2025 We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a female student in a college setting. This is a full-time role starting in January, requiring someone who is epilepsy-trained or willing to complete the necessary training. As an LSA, you will play a crucial role in the student’s educational journey, offering tailored support to enhance her learning experience and promote her well-being and independence. Your role will involve working closely with teaching staff to ensure the student’s individual needs are met both in the classroom and during college activities. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 learning and personal support to a female student with SEND. • Assist with managing epilepsy-related care and respond appropriately to medical needs. • Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and strategies. • Support the student’s engagement and participation in lessons and activities. • Build a positive and trusting relationship to support the student’s academic and personal development. Requirements: • Experience working with SEND students, preferably in a college or similar setting. • Epilepsy-trained or a willingness to complete epilepsy training. • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach. • Commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting students with diverse needs.
