Do you have a talent for connecting with young people and a passion for supporting positive behaviour in schools? Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Tameside starting in January 2025. In this key role, you’ll work closely with students who need extra support to manage their behaviour, helping them develop essential social and emotional skills in a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with challenging behaviour, helping them engage productively in class and school activities.
- Develop and implement behaviour management plans in collaboration with school staff.
- Use de-escalation techniques and promote positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support individual students’ needs.
- Encourage student participation, confidence, and social skills within school settings.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH is beneficial.
