Job Title: 1-1 Learning Mentor
Location: Tiverton Employment: Full time Mon-Fri MUST BE A DRIVER Salary: £85-£95 Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We are seeking a dedicated 1-1 Learning Mentor to join our team in Tiverton. If you have a strong background in working with children or young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, challenging behaviour, and trauma, this role is perfect for you. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1-1 support to students, fostering their emotional well-being and personal development. • Help students engage with learning, building their confidence and motivation. • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment. • Implement strategies to help manage challenging behaviour. • Monitor and track the progress of the student, adjusting interventions as necessary. Requirements: • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, trauma, or challenging behaviour is preferred. • A calm, resilient, and adaptable nature to handle complex situations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A valid driving licence is essential, as the role may involve travel to different locations. • A proactive and compassionate approach, focused on the individual needs of the child.
