**About the Role:**
We are seeking an experienced and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 with special educational needs. The successful candidate will provide individual assistance to a child with challenging behaviour and Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in enabling the child to access the curriculum, participate in school activities and achieve their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide tailored support to a KS2 pupil, according to their Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).
- Assist in the delivery of specific learning programs, adapting activities to meet the child's needs.
- Help manage the pupil's behaviour, employing strategies to engage and motivate them.
- Facilitate the development of the pupil's social skills, encouraging positive interactions with peers.
- Monitor the child's progress and contribute to their assessments and reviews.
- Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and professionals regarding the pupil's needs and achievements.
- Ensure the pupil's safety and well-being at all times.
- Support the pupil during classroom activities, break times, and school outings.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the pupil's emotional and academic growth.

**Essential Requirements:**
- Proven experience working with children with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD and ADHD.
- A patient and caring demeanour, with a passion for supporting children’s development.
- The ability to work effectively with teachers and other professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of child development and inclusive education practices.
- The capacity to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and confidentiality.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

**Desired Experience:**
- Previous experience working in a Key Stage 2 setting.
- Specific training in supporting children with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies.
