ADHD Teaching Assistant – Full-Time

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00?–?15:30

Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated ADHD Teaching Assistant to support a mixed-age classroom within a vibrant primary/secondary setting. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored strategies that promote engagement, confidence, and academic progress for pupils with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement individualized support plans under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Facilitate small-group and one-to-one activities that reinforce lesson objectives.
• Monitor behaviour, record observations, and communicate progress to staff and parents.
• Assist in adapting resources, using visual aids, timers, and sensory tools to maintain focus.
• Provide a calm, structured environment that encourages self-regulation and positive social interaction.
• Support classroom management, transitions, and extracurricular activities as required.
Essential Requirements
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics; Level 3 qualification or relevant experience preferred.
• Proven experience working with children with ADHD or other neurodevelopmental needs.
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies.
• Positive, patient, and proactive attitude toward inclusive education.
