Axcis is working with a modern mainstream primary school in the Cannock area to recruit a SEND teaching assistant. This is a position supporting a small group of children with various special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) Your role will be to provide high-quality support and mentoring for SEND pupils to enhance their learning. The role will require working with teachers to provide additional support as required, enabling pupils to learn effectively in class. The role: • Small group setting. • Ages 3 – 12. • Working hours – Mon – Fri: 08:00am – 15:30pm. • Full time. • Pro-active and supportive environment. • The role is initially temporary to start with, with a view to go permanent for the right candidates. Additional Qualifications and Experience: • Experience working as a teaching assistant within a SEND setting. • Creative, empathetic and career driven. • Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools would be desirable. The pay for ASD teaching assistant starts from £95.29 minimum per day and is in-keeping with the experience of each candidate which joins us.
