Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant
ASD Teaching Assistant Teaching Assistant Location: Swindon, Wiltshire. SN3 Start Date: January 2025 Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary with the view to go permanent About the Role: Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Swindon, SN3, providing additional support to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in their resource base. You will be supporting students with additional needs, such as, autism, ADHD and perhaps some complex needs, in a nurturing classroom environment, helping them manage behaviour, develop social skills, and stay engaged in their learning. Requirements: • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly SEMH, is highly desirable. • Patient, reliable, and adaptable with a caring, supportive attitude. • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with other school staff. • Capable of managing and supporting students with challenging behaviour in a calm, positive, and proactive manner.
