Job Title: Autism Experience Primary SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work within the Autism provision of a supportive Primary School in Islington. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, friendly, and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young children with ASD.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to children with ASD, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop essential skills
Assist in small group activities, fostering social interaction and a positive learning environment
Collaborate with class teachers to implement personalised learning plans for each student
Encourage independence and support social, emotional, and academic development
Work closely with the school’s SEN team and contribute to the holistic support of students
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ideally in a primary school setting
Skills: Excellent communication, adaptability, and a caring, positive attitude
Approach: A proactive and flexible mindset, with the ability to meet the diverse needs of students
Passion: A genuine desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with special educational needs
