Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Bath, BA2
Start Date: December 2nd
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary with a view to becoming permanent
Axcis are partnered with a special educational needs school that supports children aged 4-19 with complex needs, including ASD, Down syndrome, ADHD and behavioural challenges. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where children receive tailored support to thrive academically and socially.
Requirements:
• Experience supporting children with ASD or SEND is highly desirable.
• Patient, reliable, and adaptable with a caring, supportive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with school staff.
• Capable of managing and supporting students with challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates with experience in:
• Nurseries, youth clubs, care homes, or personal SEND experience
• Sociology, psychology, sports, music, art, or drama graduates
Additional Information:
• Hours: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
• Pay: £83.40 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
• Initially temporary, with potential for permanence
