Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Devizes, SN10 Start Date: January 7th Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary with the view to go permeant We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational setting in Devizes, Wiltshire. This position is integral to the support of our students aged 4 to 19, all of whom have additional learning needs. Our programs are crafted to promote communication, personal development and life skills, with a dynamic curriculum that includes outdoor learning and an array of enrichment activities. Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to a diverse group of students with complex needs to help them achieve their personal learning goals. - Support the delivery of lessons that promote students' life skills and autonomy. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, therapists and families, to ensure a rounded approach to student well-being and academic progress. - Contribute to the school's values-based ethos, actively engaging with both the school community and external partners to bolster our students' social, emotional and educational development. - Participate in and occasionally lead outdoor and extracurricular activities that support our enrichment-driven approach to learning. Requirements: - Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN). - Ability to drive and access to personal transportation (essential for location). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the disposition to work empathetically with children and their families. - Flexibility, patience, and resilience, paired with a passion for inclusive education and student success. Additional Information: - Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm. - Roles: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. - Pay: £83.40 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. - This role is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
