Job Title: Experienced Youth Worker
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Youth Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with young people with very challenging behaviour in a small class setting, and teaching up to GCSE level.
As a Youth Worker, you will work collaboratively with the young people, their families, and other professionals to provide tailored support to meet their individual needs and goals. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a range of activities and interventions that promote personal and academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working with young people with very challenging behaviour • Teaching up to GCSE level in a small class setting • Developing and delivering a range of activities and interventions • Supporting young people to develop life skills and independence • Working collaboratively with families and other professionals to provide holistic support
Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with young people with challenging behaviour • Understanding of the needs and behaviours of young people with challenging behaviour • Experience of teaching up to GCSE level • Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support young people with challenging behaviour • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable:
• Relevant qualification in teaching, childcare or youth work • Training in Behaviour Management and/or Safeguarding • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
