We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.
About the Role
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide targeted support to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, adapting materials to meet students' individual needs.
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to encourage engagement, foster independence, and build confidence in students.
- Implement tailored interventions, monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create a positive learning environment.
About You
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (essential).
- A strong understanding of, or interest in, working with children with SEN.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and independently when required.
- Previous experience in a similar role (voluntary or paid) is desirable but not essential.
