Job Title: Learning Mentor
Are you someone who’s passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and reach their full potential? We’re looking for a caring and committed Learning Mentor to join our inclusive and supportive team at a dynamic all-through school (ages 7–16) in Brent.
About the Role
In this rewarding position, you’ll be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), all of whom have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Your role will be key in helping students build confidence, self-regulation, and essential life skills that will support their educational and personal growth.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Delivering one-to-one and small group mentoring focused on academic, emotional, and social development
Working closely with teachers, families, and external professionals to support student progress
Helping pupils develop strategies to manage emotions, build resilience, and stay engaged in learning
Creating a structured, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes independence and success
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH and/or ASD
A calm, patient, and flexible approach to behaviour and learning support
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A genuine desire to make a positive impact in young people’s lives
