Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the SEND Team at an over-subscribed 11-18 mainstream secondary school in the Altrincham area. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs such as ADHD, SEMH, challenging behaviour, and is committed to making a positive impact on their educational journey. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom. - Work closely with teachers and the SEND Team to ensure student's needs are met. - Support student's social and emotional development. - Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - A flexible and positive approach to working in a dynamic educational setting. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting or youth club. - A genuine interest in supporting the educational development of students with SEND. - The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required. Qualifications: - Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role in the UK is highly desirable. - Relevant qualifications or training in education or special educational needs support is advantageous, but not necessary.
