Job Title: Primary SEND Teaching Assistant, Smethwick
Axcis seeking for someone to join a happy and inclusive primary school in Sandwell, where every child is supported and encouraged to shine. Our school is proud to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children, including those with special educational needs.
Location: Smethwick
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Pay: Starting from £89 per day, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and group support for students with a range of additional needs.
• Assist with their academic work and help with the development of their independent skills.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Have experience supporting children with ASD, Down Syndrome, or complex learning needs
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Is calm, reliable and able to respond flexibly to the needs of the day
• Have experience working with pupils, ideally within an educational setting (although not essential if you have support worker experience)
• Has a positive, pupil-centred approach with clear boundaries
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
