Location: Taunton & Surrounding Areas Pay: £92.00 – £109.00 per day Contract: Flexible / Supply – Term Time Only Hours: School Hours (Typically 8:30am – 3:30pm) Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience working with children and young people? We're recruiting enthusiastic Psychology graduates to work as Flexible Teaching Assistants across primary, secondary, and specialist schools in Taunton and the surrounding areas. As a Flexible Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and SEND teams to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop emotional resilience, and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom. What You'll Be Doing: • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups • Working with pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs • Helping children regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies • Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence • Supporting students with SEND, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other additional needs • Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and families • Gaining experience across a variety of school settings Every day offers something different, giving you broad experience that will strengthen future applications for postgraduate study or careers working with young people.
