Science Teacher – PRU Setting Location: Redditch Pay – To Scale, DOE Start Date: January 2025 – Monday to Friday Temporary with the potential to go Permanent Axcis are working with an Alternative Provision setting based in Redditch who are looking for a Science Teacher to join them from January 2025. This is a full-time role and initially available till the end of the Academic Year, however, there is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. This role will pay to scale. The setting, an Alternative Provision, was first established in 2010, works to transform the lives of young people who are either at risk of exclusion or who have been excluded. This is a very rewarding role where you will have the chance to make a real impact on the lives of young people and work with them to turn their lives around and hopefully result in successful futures. We are looking for a Science Teacher, someone who is passionate about learning and Science. The ideal candidate will be an engaging and inspirational Teacher, who will make learning fun and engaging, you will work to break down any barriers. To be considered for this role you will; • Have a QTS/QTLS in Science or related subject • Have experience of teaching Science to GCSE level • Be able to make learning engaging and fun, have an engaging personality • Be able to work with students and allow them to access the same level of learning as their peers in mainstream education • Be a positive role model to young people • Have a DBS that is on the Update Service or be willing to pay £56.71 for a new check to be done.
