Secondary teaching assistant A large secondary school are looking for a teaching assistant to work full time and on a fixed term contract, with the possibility to go permanent for the right person. Hours are 8:30 - 3:30 and working Monday to Friday. This post is to start on the 3rd of June after the half term break. The work would mostly involve supporting students on a 1:1 basis, but there would also be some elements of general support required. The school based in south Bristol has a adjoining primary phase, so students go through their entire school life in the same school. The school encourages and fosters the idea that no matter your background, if children study and put in the effort, they can achieve as much as those who may come from more fortunate backgrounds. Axcis Education are looking for someone with lots of resilience and an eye for potential. The right person will see value in even the hardest students, even if they don't see it themselves. Since many students here whom need extra support will either be on the autism spectrum or mental health concerns, we are in need of someone that can manage behaviours well with and calm and firm approach.
