Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant
Learning Support Assistant – Full-Time | Long-Term | E11
A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in E11 is looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.
This role is ideal for someone with previous experience supporting secondary-aged pupils, particularly those with SEND or additional learning needs. The successful candidate will work closely with students both in and out of the classroom, helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
We're particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong academic background, whether that's a degree in Psychology, Education, English, Maths, Science, or another relevant subject. Excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with young people are essential.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar school-based role
Experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary setting
A strong academic background, ideally degree educated
Confidence supporting learning across a range of subjects
A calm, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
