Job Title: SEMH SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Sutton, SM5
Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Age Range: 5–16 years (Primary and Secondary)
Are you an experienced professional with a background in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or challenging behaviours? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join a dynamic special school catering to students aged 5-16. We require individuals who are reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a difference in students' lives.
About the Role:
Provide tailored support to students with SEMH or challenging behaviours.
Work 1:1 with students to help them achieve their personal and academic goals.
Be prepared to walk around the school and engage in physical activities as required.
Work collaboratively within a supportive team to foster a safe and engaging learning environment.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs and contribute to their overall development.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with students with SEMH or managing challenging behaviours.
Reliable, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting students.
Comfortable working 1:1 with students and providing personalised support.
Physically prepared to walk around the school and engage with students throughout the day.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.
