The role involves working closely with a Key Stage 1 student who is wheelchair-bound and requires personal care, including participation in a weekly swimming activity in waist-deep water (the student does not swim, just stands in the water). Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 1 student with physical needs Assist with personal care tasks, including daily hygiene routines Support the student in a weekly swimming session (waist-deep water only) Promote an inclusive, engaging learning environment Communicate effectively with the student, teachers, and parents Ideal Candidate: Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn Calm, patient, and empathetic demeanor Willingness to provide personal care and assist with physical needs Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential Able to work in a large, fast-paced school environment Has an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to obtain one.
