Job Title: SEND support assistant

Axcis is working with a fantastic special needs college in the Trafford area, that is looking for a full-time SEND support assistant to start work ASAP. This is a long-term role, working Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4 pm. For the right candidate, this could be offered as a permanent opportunity.
The school provides education and care for children and young people with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairments, communication disorders and autism. This school benefits from some of the country's best facilities and equipment for special needs students. The school’s leadership team is extremely supportive and they truly value their employees.
Requirements:
• Experience of working with children or young people with multi-sensory impairments and/or complex with learning difficulties and disabilities
• Experience of working with people who present with challenging behaviour
• Patient and resilient
• You must have an enhanced child and adult DBS registered on the update service
• If you have been living/working overseas for more than 6 months in the last 5 years, you will need to obtain an overseas police check from that country
