The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality education to small classes, each supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD. - Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning and promotes the emotional well-being of all students. - Work closely with a dedicated Teaching Assistant to manage classroom activities and ensure each student receives the support they need. - Differentiate instruction to cater to the varied learning styles and abilities within the class. - Employ effective behavior management strategies to maintain a structured learning atmosphere. - Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. - Collaborate with other teaching staff, professionals, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students. - Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings as required. - Engage in the school's extensive Continual Professional Development (CPD) programs to further enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Qualifications and Skills: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK. - Demonstrable experience working with children with SEND, including SEMH, ASC, and ADHD. - Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience developing and implementing IEPs. - Proven ability to manage challenging behavior and create a positive learning environment. - Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with staff, students, and parents. - Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to engage in training opportunities provided by the academy group.
