Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant One-To-One
SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 ASD Support – Year 3)

Axcis Education are recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 3 pupil with Autism at a primary school in Waltham Forest.
The pupil is non-verbal and can display some challenging behaviour, so the school is looking for someone patient, resilient, and consistent.
Role Details:
Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with ASD
Use structured approaches to support communication and engagement
Help manage behaviour using a calm and firm approach
Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with ASD
Experience with non-verbal pupils is highly desirable
Strong behaviour management skills
A firm but fair, consistent approach is essential
