Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Axcis Education is recruiting for an experienced and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support a special needs school in the Trafford area. We are seeking a skilled SEND Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting students with complex autism and associated behavioural and sensory needs. In this role, you will work closely with students, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment. Requirements: - Proven experience working with students with complex autism, behavioural challenges, and sensory needs - must. - A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students - must. - Strong communication and teamwork skills with ability to show initiative and being happy to help where needed - must. - Knowledge of autism strategies (e.g., PECS, TEACCH, sensory integration) - highly desirable. - Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) - must.
