Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant (SEND) – Further Education Location: Sutton (SM2) Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm We are looking for a passionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Sutton. In this full-time role, you will work closely with students with diverse special educational needs, including ADHD, ASD, SEMH needs, and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs. Key Responsibilities: - Support the planning and delivery of engaging, tailored lessons that meet the needs of each student. - Assist in developing and implementing individualised learning plans to promote academic progress and personal development. - Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to provide well-rounded support for students. Requirements: - Previous experience working with students with SEND, particularly ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and SLCN. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and the ability to support students with complex needs. - Confidence in managing challenging behaviours in a supportive and constructive manner.
