Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant – College (Redbridge) £15.50–£16.50 per hour (PAYE) | Monday–Thursday | Start: September 2026 A welcoming mainstream college in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join its specialist department supporting students with additional needs. There are 8 small classes, supporting learners with: • Low-level ASD (students working at a younger developmental stage) • ADHD, medical needs, and challenging behaviour • Personal care needs (a key part of this role) Role Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support • Assist students with daily routines, including personal care • Support positive behaviour management • Help deliver engaging, accessible learning Requirements: • GCSE Maths & English (A–C or equivalent) – essential • Experience in a school/college or care setting (SEND-focused) • Confident supporting complex needs and behaviour • Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach Please Note: This is a hands-on SEND role.
