The ideal candidate will be an innovative educator who can inspire and engage students across a range of subjects and developmental stages. Experience in Special Educational Needs and Mental Health is highly desirable, although not essential for this role. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is looking to make a difference in a supportive and dynamic learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all students. - Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. - Establish and maintain a safe and positive learning environment in the classroom. - Use a variety of teaching methods to maintain student interest and promote active engagement in learning activities. - Collaborate with colleagues to implement and develop curriculum initiatives, contributing to the school’s ethos, strategies, and objectives. - Work closely with other professionals, such as Learning Support Assistants, to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to students with special educational needs. - Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress and participate in parent-teacher meetings. - Participate in continuous professional development to keep up to date with educational policies and best practices. - Manage classroom behavior effectively, applying appropriate intervention strategies when required. Requirements: Essential: - Qualified Teacher Status in the UK. - Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and a strong commitment to student progression and success. - Being well-organized, resourceful and able to manage time efficiently. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Desirable: - Experience in working with pupils with SEMH needs. - A track record of creating a positive environment that encourages students to thrive. - Additional certifications or courses related to SEN teaching.
