Key Responsibilities: • Provide individualised support to students with autism and speech and language needs, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. • Assist in the development and delivery of tailored interventions to enhance communication, social skills, and independence. • Work closely with teachers and speech and language therapists to implement effective strategies that support student learning and engagement. • Promote a calm and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging confidence and self-esteem in students. • Support personal care and safety needs as required, ensuring student well-being. • Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and external professionals to create a cohesive support network. • Engage in training and professional development to enhance skills in supporting students with ASD and speech and language needs. Qualifications and Experience: • Experience working with children with autism, speech and language difficulties, or other special educational needs, ideally in a school setting. • Knowledge of strategies and resources for supporting students with ASD and communication needs. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team. • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning and development.
