Job Title: Teaching assistant
A nurturing and inclusive school in Surrey, supporting 70 incredible students, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their committed team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in empowering young learners to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH, ADHD, and attachment needs.
-Assist teachers in delivering creative and engaging lessons.
-Help implement individualized learning strategies tailored to each student’s needs.
-Foster a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
-Encourage positive behavior and emotional regulation through supportive interactions.
-Work collaboratively with the teaching and pastoral care teams to track student progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
-Experience working with children or young people, preferably those with SEMH or additional needs.
-Understanding of attachment disorders, ADHD, and behavior management strategies.
-Patient, compassionate, and adaptable with a positive attitude.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-A genuine passion for supporting children to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
-Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3) are advantageous but not essential.
