Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Bournemouth | Primary School
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract: Full-time, term-time only | Salary: Competitive
A welcoming, inclusive mainstream primary school in Bournemouth is looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible or from September 2025.
We’re seeking individuals with a strong understanding of SEND and experience supporting children in educational or care-based settings. This role is also ideal for graduates who are considering a career in teaching and want to gain hands-on classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support teaching and learning across the primary age range
• Provide one-to-one and small group support, particularly for pupils with SEND
• Assist in preparing learning resources and maintaining an engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCos and external professionals
Ideal Candidate:
• Experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEND setting
• Knowledge of primary curriculum and child development
• Strong communication, patience and a proactive approach
• Interest in progressing into teaching or further educational roles
