Location: Hillingdon (UB10) Start Date: ASAP (October 2026) Trial Days: Available ASAP Duration: Ongoing, Long-Term Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available) Your New Role On behalf of our client, a welcoming and well-established school in Hillingdon, Axcis Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for both full-time and part-time positions with an immediate start available. This all-through school benefits from a strong senior leadership team, a supportive staff culture, and an excellent location with easy access to local transport links. The school also has an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of other special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). As a Teaching Assistant, you will support secondary-aged students across both the ARP and mainstream settings. You will play a vital role in helping pupils engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals. Some pupils may display challenging behaviour, so strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach are essential. Certain students also require personal care support, therefore candidates must be comfortable assisting with personal care duties when required. Due to the nature of the role, candidates with previous experience working in schools, care settings, or SEND environments within the UK will be highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Support secondary-aged pupils in both mainstream and ARP settings. Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEND. Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development. Support positive behaviour management strategies. Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Provide personal care support where required. Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to support pupil progress. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience working in a school, care, or SEND setting. Confidence supporting young people with additional needs. Strong behaviour management and communication skills. A patient, proactive, and resilient approach. A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
