Job Title: Art Teacher
Art Teacher Position Title: Art Teacher Location: Secondary School Job Type: Part time An inspiring and creative Art Teacher responsible for delivering engaging and structured art lessons at Key Stage 3 (KS3), GCSE, and A-Level. The role requires a passion for the visual arts, effective teaching strategies, and a commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment. The teacher will be expected to guide students in their artistic development, help them prepare for external qualifications, and contribute to the overall enrichment of the school's artistic culture. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of students at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, covering various media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and photography. • Assist students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams by providing ongoing feedback, developing their portfolios, and ensuring they understand assessment criteria. • Mark and assess student work regularly, providing constructive feedback to support progress. • Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages creativity and fosters individual student expression while maintaining effective discipline. • Provide one-on-one support to students, including advice on coursework, techniques, and creative development. Mentor students for potential careers in the arts, including university applications for art-related subjects. Requirements: • Teaching Qualification • A degree in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design, or a related subject. • Knowledge of National Curriculum: Strong understanding of the UK secondary school curriculum, particularly in relation to GCSE and A-Level Art & Design courses. • Experience teaching Art at KS3, GCSE, or A-Level.
