Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (dependent on experience and role responsibilities)
About the Role
Axcis Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to register with us for a variety of opportunities in primary schools across Stockport.
We have flexible roles available including day-to-day supply, short-term cover, and long-term placements starting after February half-term. As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, delivering interventions, and occasionally leading whole-class sessions in the absence of the class teacher.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Provide targeted intervention support to small groups and individual pupils
• Support pupils with additional needs where required
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
• Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour
• Contribute to planning and assessment where appropriate
Requirements
• Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification (essential)
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Adaptable, proactive, and confident leading learning sessions
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
