Job Title: Mathematics Tutor - Newton Abbot
We are currently looking to appoint a Mathematics Tutor to deliver a bespoke curriculum, including GCSE and A-level mathematics objectives, on a 1:1 and small group basis for students with ASD, ADHD and complex needs. About the Role: •Based in Newton Abbot •Salary between £24,500-£30,500 •Hours are 8.30-4.30 •The position is permanent (Temp to perm) •Starting in September 2026 About You: •Experiencing of teaching or tutoring mathematics lessons, including A-level and GCSE (or equivalent) are required for this position. •Confidence in forming relationships with students who have SEND needs and may be reluctant to engage. •A passion for helping delivering lessons on a1:1 or small group basis. •Someone who is a team player and is friendly and approachable. •You do not have have to have QTS for this position. However, qualifications are desirable. About the School: •An independent specialist provision who welcome students with ASD, ADHD and complex needs with an EHCP. •Students are mainly post 16 and are working towards GCSE and A-level qualifications •Students require support with regulating and accessing a curriculum tailored to their needs and pace of learning. •There is an emphasis on staff culture, work life balance and team support. •Students respond well to the bespoke support and learning behaviours, in general, are very positive.
