A vibrant secondary school in Bracknell is searching for an enthusiastic and talented music teacher to join their team starting in January 2025. This full-time role, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Friday, offers a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to nurture a love of music in students across a range of age groups. As a key member of the school’s performing arts department, you will design and deliver engaging music lessons that ignite creativity and foster a deep appreciation for music. From teaching the fundamentals of music theory to leading ensemble practices, your goal will be to help students develop both their technical skills and artistic confidence. You’ll also play a pivotal role in preparing students for performances and exams, providing tailored support to ensure each student reaches their full potential. This position goes beyond the classroom. You’ll be encouraged to take an active role in the school’s vibrant musical life, organising extracurricular activities such as choir, band or orchestra rehearsals and contributing to concerts, showcases and community events. Collaboration with fellow educators and support staff will be essential as you work together to provide a well-rounded and enriching experience for all students. We are looking for someone who combines a passion for music with a commitment to high standards in teaching and learning. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching music in a secondary school setting are preferred. Strong organisational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to inspire students of all abilities are essential, as is a willingness to contribute to the wider school community. The school offers a welcoming and supportive environment, with excellent professional development opportunities to help you advance your career. For the right candidate, this role could lead to a permanent position, providing a chance to make a lasting impact on students’ lives through the transformative power of music. If this sounds like the role for you, please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and passion for teaching music to sam@axcis.co.uk.
