Job Title: Pastoral Support Assistant Location: Dorking, Surrey Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM Salary: Paid to scale Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team in Dorking, Surrey. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of our students. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and group support to students facing personal, social, or academic challenges. • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student well-being and resilience. • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to address individual student needs. • Assist in the development and implementation of intervention strategies and programs. • Maintain accurate records and produce reports on student progress and well-being. • Uphold and promote safeguarding policies and best practices within the school. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a pastoral or support role in an educational setting is preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students and staff. • Understanding of child development and effective support strategies. • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Requirements: • Minimum of two professional references. • Current child and adult DBS clearance.
