Job Title: Primary Special Needs Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary SEND Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Slough from September 2025. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday), working with pupils who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) and challenging behaviour. The role: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum for pupils with a range of SEMH and additional needs Create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment where every child can thrive Use flexible and creative teaching strategies to motivate and inspire pupils, adapting lessons to meet individual EHCP targets Work closely with a skilled team of TAs, therapists and other staff to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development Build trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, celebrating achievements and identifying areas for further support We are looking for someone who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential Has solid teaching experience, ideally within SEND or with pupils presenting challenging behaviour and SEMH needs Is confident and knowledgeable about the primary curriculum and can adapt it creatively for diverse learners Shows flexibility, resilience and commitment to meeting a wide range of individual needs Has strong classroom management skills and uses positive strategies to promote engagement and learning Is a team player, willing to collaborate closely with colleagues, families and outside agencies What we offer: A welcoming, supportive and experienced team Opportunities for ongoing professional development and training The chance to make a real difference to children’s lives and futures Competitive pay, reflecting your skills and experience If you are a passionate, adaptable teacher ready to take on a rewarding new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
