Job Title: School Carer
Learning Support Assistant | Specialist College | Wood Green | September Start
Looking to use your care experience in a new and rewarding environment?
We're working with a welcoming specialist college in Wood Green that is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support young adults with complex learning difficulties, Autism, communication needs and physical disabilities from September.
This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in residential care, supported living, healthcare or community support who are looking to transition into education. You'll play an important role in helping students develop life skills, confidence and independence while supporting them throughout their learning journey.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting students in lessons, practical activities and vocational learning.
Encouraging independence, communication and social interaction.
Assisting students with personalised learning programmes and sensory activities.
Working collaboratively with tutors, therapists and specialist staff.
Promoting a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment.
We're looking for people who:
Have previous experience in care, support work or a similar role.
Are caring, reliable and motivated to support young people with additional needs.
Enjoy building positive relationships and celebrating small achievements.
Are flexible, proactive and eager to learn.
Have (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS.
