Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant
A dynamic secondary school in the Chingford area E4 area is looking for a resilient and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist department full-time from September. Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time, long-term This role is based within the school’s dedicated SEMH provision, supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour. You’ll work closely with staff and pastoral teams to provide consistent, structured support that helps students manage their emotions, stay engaged, and succeed both academically and personally. Ideal candidates will have: -Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs and/or behavioural challenges -A calm, consistent, and firm-but-supportive approach -Strong communication and de-escalation skills -A genuine passion for inclusion and behaviour support This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a school committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
