We are seeking a compassionate, adaptable and skilled SEND Teacher to join our dedicated team and provide high-quality, inclusive education for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of your class, which may include pupils with ASD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, MLD or other complex needs. Working closely with support staff, therapists, and parents/carers, you’ll help ensure each pupil’s EHCP targets are met in a nurturing, structured and engaging environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Delivering differentiated lessons that reflect the abilities and interests of pupils
Using a range of teaching strategies and communication tools (e.g. visual supports, Makaton, PECS)
Leading and managing a team of TAs within the classroom
Supporting behaviour regulation using positive, trauma-informed approaches
Working closely with external professionals and contributing to review meetings and assessments
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
? Is a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in SEND
? Has a child-centred, inclusive approach to education
? Can plan creatively and assess progress in a way that reflects individual learning journeys
? Has strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals
? Understands the importance of routines, structure, and emotional safety for SEND learners
Desirable:
?? Prior experience teaching in a SEND or specialist provision
?? Knowledge of EHCPs, sensory integration, or trauma-informed practice
?? Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication methods
