Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant, Part Time
Axcis Education are looking for an enthusiastic, personable teaching assistant to work in a local primary school, supporting a child on a one-to-one basis. The role is on a part-time basis and is an immediate start, with the view of continuing through the next academic year.
This role is based in a local primary school just outside of Warwick and will involve supporting a child with autism and pathological demand avoidance (PDA) on a one-to-one basis. The school are passionate about community, promoting and including it across all aspects of school life. This is a part-time Teaching Assistant position, working between Monday to Friday. The role will require candidates to support a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). In this role, candidates will be paid £14.25 per hour.
The Role
• Supporting a child on a 1:1 basis
• Supporting a child with autism and PDA
• Tailoring their approach to meet the needs of the child, getting to know their likes, dislikes and needs
• Effectively liaise with staff members to provide all children with support
Requirements
• Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• A caring and patient nature, with the ability to foster positive and meaningful relationships with all pupils
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Availability to work 8:30am – 4:00pm
