Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - Totnes
Axcis Education is excited to be working with an Alternative Provision near Totnes, seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as complex learning challenges. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students who may struggle to regulate their emotions or meet expectations. You will need to build strong, trusting relationships with the pupils, fostering a supportive and understanding environment to help them thrive both academically and socially. Your ability to remain calm, patient, and compassionate will be invaluable in this role. Key Details: Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Near Totnes Age Group: 11-16 years Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm (early finish at 1pm on Fridays) Pay Rate: £85-£95 per day (depending on experience) Contract: Permanent position The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with SEMH and complex needs and will demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills.
