Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Woking, Surrey. This role is integral to supporting the learning and well-being of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored educational programs to meet the diverse needs of SEND students.
• Provide one-on-one and group support to enhance students' learning experiences and promote inclusion.
• Help in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials as necessary.
• Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages personal development and self-confidence.
• Collaborate with educational professionals, parents, and caregivers to create an effective support network for students.
• Monitor and report on students' progress, participating in regular reviews and assessments.
Qualifications:
• Relevant experience working with children with SEND is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic approach and a commitment to student development.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable.
