Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education work closely with a SEND school in the Bromsgrove area who are seeking teaching assistants, from September. The school is based in a village just outside of Bromsgrove, whilst there are bus links, this role would be ideal for a driver as the public transport isn't overly accessible for candidates travelling from outside the area. The school caters for students aged 4 - 17 who have a range of additional needs including; complex needs, PMLD, autism, ADHD, downs syndrome, SEMH difficulties and physical disabilities. The school group their students by ability, as opposed to age, so you may be in a class where you work with all age groups. Personal care is required in this role and ideally, you'll have experience with medication and/or manual handling (although this is not essential). The roles are all full-time and school hours are 830am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday. The roles will start in September on a long term basis with frequent opportunities to become permanent employees. The candidate applying for these roles must have experience working with students with additional needs and be willing to provide personal care. The candidates will ideally have education experience but this is not essential, providing you have some form of childcare experience. Pay for this role starts at £93 per day upwards, dependent on experience.

If you are interested, then please click on the apply button and contact Kirsten Ashcroft-Jackson on 01772 540740 | Ext: 3006.

If you are not interested in this role but know someone else who might be, don't forget that we offer £50 in shopping vouchers if you refer a friend to us and we place them in the job. For more details, contact your local Axcis office.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer and as such we do not discriminate based on age, gender, disability, race or any other equal opportunities criteria.

The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
