If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Supply Teaching Assistant in the vibrant community of Yeovil, Somerset.
Responsibilities:
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Work on a flexible, day-to-day basis, supporting SEND pupils within various classroom environments across different schools in the Yeovil area.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of individual learning plans tailored to each pupil's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEND Coordinators to deliver targeted support in a diverse range of subjects.
- Utilize effective behavioural management techniques to promote a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of pupils’ progress, attendance, and any behavioural incidents.
- Adapt to different classroom settings and quickly build rapport with new pupils and staff.
- Aid pupils with personal care needs, ensuring their dignity and safety are upheld.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance professional development and remain up-to-date with best practices in SEND education.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Ability to use initiative and work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service is required (or willingness to obtain one).
