Axcis are a specialist SEND education agency that are currently working with a Primary school in the Chorley area who are looking to recruit a general teaching assistant for a mixed year 5/6 class. The ideal candidate needs to be confident supporting children within the class with their learning and may need to assist them in small group or 1:1 interventions when needed. We are looking for teaching assistants who are looking to work with children of varying abilities and who re able to use their initiative to get stuck in to the role. In this role you will be supporting children in class, 1-1 and group settings and assisting them in accessing the curriculum to the best of their ability. What we offer: • Full-time role - initially long-term but with the potential for temporary to permanent. • Daily rates starting from £89 per day. • A range of training courses through the national college for CPD. What you will need: • An enhanced DBS certificate – if not, we can assist with applying for one. • A minimum of 6 months working or volunteering within a class or education setting (3 months MUST be in the UK for overseas candidates). • A genuine interest in supporting children. • Ability to commute to the Chorley area reliably The school is located near the train station so is easily accessed by public transport.
