Job Advert: SEN Teaching Assistant – Northolt, Ealing Role: Teaching Assistant Fulltime: 0830am-4pm Pay: Competitive pay Axcis Education is looking for a dedicate and experienced SEN teaching assistant to join an outstanding mainstream primary school in Northolt, Ealing. This school caters to children with various special educational needs and has received an exceptional Ofsted rating. The role involves providing 1:1 and group support to children with various SEN such as Autism, helping them reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: -Provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with Autism, following their Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). -Collaborate with class teachers to implement tailored interventions and support strategies. -Adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs) based on student progress. -Support students in developing social, communication, and life skills. -Monitor student progress and provide updates to teachers and parents. Requirements: -Knowledge of Makaton and PECS. -Willingness to assist with personal care as needed. -Experience working with children with Autism in primary school settings. -Strong communication skills. -Valid DBS on the Update Service.
